A CHRISTMAS CAROL: THE RADIO SHOW
A Christmas Carol: The Radio Show brings Charles Dickens' classic Christmas story to life on stage with a twist! When the actors from a small radio station can't make it to the studio for the show, the sound effects man must perform A Christmas Carol by himself, reading all the parts, creating all the sound effects, and playing all the music!
This one-person adaptation of A Christmas Carol is performed in 1940s radio style, featuring on-stage sound effects, just like an old-time radio show.
Our production is true to Charles Dickens' original story, and captures the spirit of the holiday season with humor and warmth.
Award-winning sound effects artist and musician Scott Paulson stars in this new production of the holiday favorite, directed by David Alberts.
Dr. Alberts has directed more than 35 productions of plays and musicals. In addition to his many playwriting credits, he is the author of four books on acting and directing, and has received the Founders Award from the International Thespian Society, Directing Award from the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival, and the San Diego Book Award.
